A Weak Off

I am ready for Ashram, not just because it is Ashram (which I am ready for that too) But my body wants a weak off. I have so many plans for how differently I would run my own gymnastics studio, one of which would be less conditioning. I know that it makes you stronger and its good for you, but spending a full hour of a three hour class on warm-ups and conditioning is a bit excessive I think. So, my body is ready for a break to just relax and heal. And I am ready for a break from my computer. A full weak with absolutely no email, or blogs, or flickr... I'm ready, in fact, I may start sooner than Ashram, but we will see.

Hi, Bethany -
This will seem very strange, but I am an old friend of Kent & Linda Barnard and have been looking for them for years! I was in their wedding, and I went to my first Ashram at their invitation. Anyway, I tried to look them up on google and your blog came up. Since I can't even be sure it's the same Kent & Linda, I hesitate to trouble you - except they loved Ashram's and I recall "Kerr" (I believe it may have been Linda's maiden name?). Her father was a wonderful man - a Methodist minimster. We all met in Stockton at University of the Pacific.

Anyway, so sorry to trouble you but couldn't pass up the excitement of possibly reconnecting with dear old friends, who left their stamp on my life & faith. IF this sounds like your Kent & Linda, could you forward this on to them? My name is Jeff Schloss and I'm teaching at a Christian college here in California (Westmont, in Santa Barbara). Contact: schloss@westmont.edu

Blessings,
Jeff
